It was a warm and sunny Saturday afternoon at Wilcot for Oare School Fete.<br />
This was the bands' first engagement of a very busy Summer Season, the highlight of which will be Marlborough International Jazz Festival on Sat 12th July. <br />

 <title>Bouverie Hall Concert, a Huge Success</title>

<description><![CDATA[The combined Concert with ladies' choir "Core-us" held on Sat. Feb. 9th was a huge success,raising over £2000 on the night for the Pewsey Methodist Church Development Fund.<br />
They have now reached their required total and work on the Building Project has started.<br />

 <title>HAPPY NEW YEAR !</title>

<description><![CDATA[The Kennet Vale Band would like to thank everyone for their support during 2007 and wish them all a very happy 2008.<br />
<br />
Last year was very busy for the Band,especially the lead up to Christmas with eight engagements in sixteen days,  Although being hectic this was also a very sucsessful and enjoyable period,the main event being The Christmas Concert in Marlborough Town Hall in aid of "Macmillan Cancer Support".<br />
<br />
The Band are now working towards their first Engagement of 2008;<br />
This will be a Concert in "The Bouverie Hall" Pewsey on Sat 9th February at 7.30 pm.<br />
In support of Pewsey Methodist Church Development Project.<br />

 <title>Christmas Concert for &quot;Macmillan Cancer Support&quot;</title>

Once again the Band are proud to perform a Christmas Concert in aid of "Macmillan Cancer Support".<br />
This will take place on Friday 14th December in Marlborough Town Hall at 7.30 pm.<br />
By no means is this the Band's only Christmas event , on Mon 10th they will be entertaining shoppers at Woodborough Garden Centre.<br />
On Tues 18th Dec a Carol Concert in The Coronation Hall Alton Barnes and on Sat 22nd Dec Village Carols at Manor Farm Huish, both of these events in aid of local charities.<br />
They will be in All Saints Church Stanton St. Bernard on Sun 16th Dec for a service of Carols and Lessons.<br />
Christmas shoppers will be entertained in Marlborough High Street on the morning of Sat 15th December and on the evening of Friday 7th Dec. The Band travel to Malmesbury for their first event of the Festive Season .]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[The Band have completed their Summer Season of engagements with two successful events at Pewsey Carnival.The opening Service and Concert on Sunday 16th Sept.in the Market Place was well supported and despite failing light the Band performed well.The following Saturday they entertained a crowd of thousands during the famous Pewsey Carnival Procession.As usual the Band performed from their Decorated and Illuminated Float [see video].<br />
Despite the wet Summer the Band only had two events cancelled due to the rain.They are now rehearsing a new Concert Programme before preparing for a busy Christmas Season.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[It's September and that means Pewsey Carnival and again The Kennet Vale Band will be perfoming at two of the main events.<br />
On Sunday 16th Sept. they will lead the singing at the Opening Service in Pewsey Market Place,following this The Band will perform a short Concert .<br />
Saturday 22nd Sept. is the date for Famous Illuminated Procession through the village streets.At this event The Band will again perform and entertain the crowds from thier decorated and illuminated float.]]></description>
